Motivation
Profiroll Technologies GmbH is a globally operating machine tool manufacturer in the field of thread, profile, gear and ring rolling. By means of the latest cold massive forming technology, Profiroll develops economical production processes for its customers by using the roll forming process. These production processes are constantly developed further by Profiroll.
Objective
- Analysis of recorded machine data to improve heat and hardness compensation in the production process
- Modelling of the relationship between production process measurement data and target/actual difference using statistical methods
- Development of parameters for the optimization of the target/actual differences
Results
- Evaluation of analysis results from regression methods and particle swarm optimization
- Visualization of the results and derivation of the optimization key figures
- Integration of the optimization parameters into the production process
